AKKUYU NPP will take part in the International Power Industry Forum «Nuclear energy. Asia – 2014» in Hanoi

 

The fifth annual International Forum for Nuclear Energy «Nuclear energy. Asia – 2014» will take part in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It will unite the representatives of power industry companies and the officials of state offices from the whole world. The event is one of the most important international summits relative to the issues of developing nuclear power not only in Asia, but in the whole world. Over three hundred international experts in the sphere of nuclear power from Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Germany, Egypt, Iran, Canada, China, Malaysia, UAE, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, USA, Turkey, France, South Korea, Japan and other countries will take part in the forum. The forum will last for three days.

 

Within the scope of the business program conferences, round work tables, panel discussions on which the specialists will discuss the key aspects of nuclear power in the world emerging countries. The event will feature the participation of Ilya Smirnov, Deputy CEO - Director for Legal and Corporate Affairs of AKKUYU NPP. He will make a presentation about the current status of implementing the project of constructing the first nuclear station in the Republic of Turkey following the Russian technologies.

 

The speech of Nedzhati Yamach, Director of the Department on realizing the projects of nuclear energy of the Ministry of power and Natural resources is planned at the panel discussion «Current problems of the nuclear power in the Middle East and North Africa countries». He will speak about the creation of the “roadmap” for developing the nuclear industry of the Republic of Turkey, about the evaluation of the readiness of the country’s national infrastructure to the implementation of nuclear power. The results of the research of the Turkish infrastructure are presented by the mission INIR (Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

 

The heads of major power organizations and the experts will discuss the plans of elaborating the nuclear generation, solutions and ways to cross the actual problems in the sphere of diversification of power sources.
