Representatives of the top management of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC will participate in International Forum ATOMEX 2014


Moscow will host the VI International Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers ATOMEX 2014 from 29 to 31 October, 2014. The goals of the forum is to develop competitive environment, strengthen already existing and establish new business links between suppliers and customers of equipment, services in the nuclear industry.


A statement of the Director General of Rosatom State Corporation, Sergey Kirienko, is expected at the plenary session of ATOMEX 2014. Kirill Komarov, Deputy Director General – Director for Development and International Business of Rosatom, and Roman Zimonas, Director of Department for Procurement Methodology and Organization, will traditionally participate in the forum.


The representatives of the top management of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC Project Company will take part in the international forum. Alexander Afrov, Deputy CEO-Technical Director, Oleg Titov, Deputy CEO for Operation Support, Vladimir Chudin, Director for Contracts and Procurement, Valeriy Lobovich, Head of Market Analytics and Procurement Department, are intending to visit the event.


During roundtables and breakout sessions listed on the forum agenda the participants will be able to address the following topics: operation, repair, extension of operation life and upgrading of NPPs; IT for nuclear energy; engineering investigations, design and construction of nuclear facilities; procurement of equipment of the nuclear and power engineering industry; quality control over supplied equipment.


Presentation sessions will be arranged at the international forum, where the participants will provide information about equipment for NPPs and nuclear industry, instruments and automatics as well as about design and building technologies of nuclear power plants, construction structures and materials. Individual B2B meetings are to be held with customer’s representatives. During such meetings the suppliers will be able to get familiar with specificities of the procurement system practice applied at enterprises of Rosatom, Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation.


The representatives of the Turkish Tekirdağ Association of Industrialists (Tekirdağ is a province of the Republic of Turkey) will attend the International Forum ATOMEX 2014. The Association unites over 270 companies. The Turkish guests will familiarize themselves with products of Russian nuclear industry enterprises, with standards and requirements to be met by suppliers when designing, building and operating NPPs. Eşref Akin, Vice-President of the Association, will head the delegation.
